Special Quotes "Blaster Bolts!" Some of the quotes in this story are simple but are major markers. The best quote in the story is, "Blaster Bolts." It is a signature saying by the twins Jacen and Jiana. It was said when they were captured by imperial forces at Gem Driver Station. It is the signal of trouble and is heard in previous books. The quote is similar to the quote, "I have a bad feeling about this." This quote comes from Jacen and Jiana's father, Han Solo. It is like a signature saying that every character gets in a movie, it is what you go home saying. This quote is defined as a fantastic type, simple, but has meaning.
"We have come for information and we are prepared to pay for it."
This second quote comes from a wise Jedi, Luke Skywalker that is the one that is looking for the twins and Lowbacca. However, this quote is not the type that you just remember; it is more of a stage in the story. This quote is spoken when Luke Skywalker and Tenel Kal find a Hutt on Bongo Prime that knows about the shipment of the valuable, metal cutting, "corsa gem" that was used to break into Gem Driver Station where the knights were taken from. This quote is more of a real quote and an actual phrase compared to the first one. I chose this one because it was a very major advancement in the story and is also a moment where the story starts to get better.
“You never know when I’ll lose patience with you.”
This quote is from the dark Jedi trainer Barakiss. It sounds dark and is simply just that. It was during the twin’s training while they were separated they get into training. They must work with Barakiss until Luke finally rescues them and leads them back home. The quote shows that they must work with him and not get him angry. Just like the quote before, it is only a stage in the story leading up to finding the twins and Lowbacca. It sounds like something a dark Jedi might say and I’m sure that was the way the author wanted readers to think. I for one thing chose this quote because it has an evil ring to it, but it sounds like a comment you would want to yell right back at.
“I’m afraid that time will come too soon.” This quote was mention by Luke Skywalker at the very last sentence of the story. Even though it is part of a quote, it is part of a whole. It explains that it may be soon that the New Republic will have to find the Shadow Academy and destroy it. Who knows how many more of these training facilities there are out there. War might start up once again and disrupt the peace of the New Republic. This quote is saying that there are a lot of things going on right now and that they must be ready to take action and extra precautions so the twins aren’t taken against their will. I think it was a great ending quote, even though I wish the ending had more detail and more story.
